Chiffon Bay is an exploration of the ocean's calming yet ever-changing nature. Using multiple shades of blue, I wanted to create an abstract interpretation that captures both the serenity and energy of the sea. This piece reflects my ongoing fascination with water and its fluid, tranquil qualities.

Sharmain is a Melbourne-based artist who transitioned from a 20-year non-creative career to painting full-time in 2016. Inspired by colour, textiles, and interior design, they use acrylics to create layered, textured works that invite viewers to discover hidden details. Growing up in Victoria's Yarra Valley, Sharmain now works daily in her home studio, driven by a lifelong passion for creativity.
