Zag

Introducing "Zag," a stunning handwoven copper wire decorative basket by Australian artist Marie Shannon. Crafted from recycled pure copper and featuring vibrant, recovered 1970s ceramic beads from Kilimanjaro, this one-of-a-kind sculpture seamlessly blends contemporary sculpture design with elements of history and sustainability.

The intricate weaving and hammer finish add depth and texture, creating a piece that’s both decorative and functional. Ideal for displaying eggs, trinkets from your latest adventure, or simply as a fine art sculpture, "Zag" offers a beautiful balance between the warm glow of copper and the unique pop of color from the vintage beads. As a handcrafted sculpture, this piece stands as a testament to Shannon’s expertise in Australian art sculpture and is a perfect choice for those seeking exclusive sculptural art to enhance their home decor.

Artist's Description

Copper is a beautiful natural product that can be left to age or polished regularly to a shine. The beads are ceramic, handmade in the Kilimanjaro region in the 1970's. They have been glazed and fired however they have tiny signs of life and care should be taken not to knock them around. Copper is robust however it is supple.
